Over the past year as I have been toying with the idea of this paper, I have been surprised and encouraged to see how many pastors and theologians have made the connection between the ancient heresy of Gnosticism and the ongoing Sexual Revolution unfolding before our eyes. The purpose of this paper is to analyze that connection, especially in regard to the Transexual revolution, and to see if there is any wisdom to be gleaned on how to confront it from those who have gone before us in this battle. To that end we will take a look at the ancient heresy of Gnosticism and how it was confronted, its defining traits that have been passed down to the modern Gnostics, and a Biblical response we can use as we stand for truth in this age of confusion.
